Di cosa parla
- Social psychology examines how people behave in groups, interpersonal relationships, decision-making, problem-solving, work performance, communication, health, and economic behaviors. It investigates how others influence thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
- The mind is compared to hardware (brain) and software (consciousness). Attention focuses on specific stimuli while ignoring irrelevant information; memory is divided into long-term (organized semantically with large capacity) and short-term (perceptually organized with limited capacity).
- Information processing principles include accessibility, conservatism, and superficial/deep processing. Motivational principles are mastery, affiliation, and valuing "me" and "mine." Attitudes consist of affective, behavioral, and cognitive components.
